Please note: An accessible pipe chase is required for installation. Anchor rods pass through the wall and screw into threaded sockets on the back of the urinal. The anchor rods are secured on the other side of the chase wall with washers and hex nuts. Wall openings for anchor rods and piping must be provided by the installer in accordance with rough-in drawings provided by the manufacturer.

Q. "What is the LDIM?"
A. LDIM is the Sloan Valve Company's abbreviation for length dimension and is a measurement of the wall thickness plus the 2-3/4" distance for the installation offset measured from the interior finished wall to the centerline of the flush valve location behind the wall.
Q. "What is Permex?"
A. Permex is a patented rubber compound that is formulated to withstand the deteriorating effects of ammonia and chloramine which are often used in water treatment facilities and cleaners.
Q. "What is Chloramine?"
A. Chloramine is a combination of a chlorine and ammonia reaction in water. Chloramine is commonly used in low concentrations as a disinfectant in municipal water systems as an alternative to chlorination because it is more stable than chlorine and will not dissipate from the water.
Q. "What is the purpose of the Bak-Chek® in the angle stop?"
A. The internal Bak-Chek® keeps the water flowing in one direction through the angle stop. The Bak-Chek® ensures the flushometer valve stays pressurized if the water supply system were to lose pressure. Without the Bak-Chek®, and the water supply lost pressure, the flushometer will leak water into the fixture and continue to do so even when the supply pressure is restored and up until the flushometer is fully pressurized again.
Q. "What does it mean that a product is compliant with the Buy American Act (BAA) or with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)? Are these products manufactured in the USA?"
A. The Buy American Act is a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 intended to help stimulate the United States' economy through the purchase of American-made goods. While the Buy American Act portion of the bill primarily regulates government spending, the regulations can help guide conscious consumers who wish to purchase American-made products. In general, an item that meets the requirements of the Buy American Act is assembled in the US and at least 50% of its components are domestically produced.
