Aquor Freezeless House Hydrant System
A properly installed Freezeless House Hydrant can protect you from water damage caused by a burst pipe. Aquor's 5° downward pitch design prevents water from remaining in the faucet so freezing weather does not effect the faucet, possibly saving you thousands of dollars in damages from a potential high pressure leak when the water is turned on after the thaw. A built-in back flow preventer ensures there will be no back flow contamination.

The Aquor house hydrant drains when the Aquor connector attached to the hose is twisted out of the hydrant. This effectively removes the hose, instantly stopping the water flow and keeping the house hydrant clear of water that can cause damage if frozen. Designed for residential or commercial outside water service applications. A simple push and twist of the Aquor connector into the water outlet starts water flow automatically. Three grooves guide the connector into the correct position engaging a single valve held closed by water pressure and high performance o-rings. When the Aquor connector is inserted the valve opens instantly and water flows instantly. When Aquor connector is removed water flow stops instantly. The Aquor connector will need to be connected to your hose before inserting the connector into the valve.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. "Once the connector is inserted and twisted into the body is there any way to control the volume of the water flow?"
A. The body and the valve does not provide a way to control the water flow. However, a ball valve could be placed on the outlet side of the connector or at the end of the hose to control the water flow volume.
Q. "How do I choose the right faucet length?"
A. Determine the thickness of your wall. The faucet must pass through the exterior wall all the way through to the interior of the wall to keep the inlet from freezing. Order the faucet with the stem length that matches the actual wall thickness of your wall, not the overall length which includes the inlet length.
If your wall thickness is 4" then select the 4" stem length. If your wall happens to be 4-1/2" thick then select the next size up to make sure the inlet of the faucet goes through your wall so the inlet is protected from freezing conditions.
Q. "Is there any way to turn the water on if the Aquor Adapter is missing?"
A. No, the Aquor Adapter or optional Removable Faucet needs to be inserted and twist locked into place before water is released from the valve. So if you take the Aquor Adapter or Removable Faucet into the house after each use, nobody will be able to access your hose bibb when you are not at home.
Q. "Does the Removable Faucet have an internal check valve like the standard Aquor connector?"
A. No. If you are using the Removable Faucet some form of backflow protection should be used, such as an inline vacuum breaker. This is particularly important when using in hazardous applications or around toxic liquids. Vacuum breakers are always considered the best backflow protection for potable water.
Q. "Can I leave the Removable Faucet connected into the house hydrant?"
A. The Removable Faucet should be unplugged after each use. Disconnecting is quick and easy and only takes a second. Your house hydrant will only offer freeze protection if the Removable Faucet has been unplugged so the house hydrant will self-drain. Removing the Removable Faucet ensures your hydrant is sealed, leak-proof, and worry-free.
