"Back in 1995 (three years before Google was founded), when my local plumbing supply
distribution business was highly successful, I founded PlumbingSupply.com® on the Internet as
I saw a real need that we could fill. In addition in 1996 I also started a few other plumbing related websites including some educational websites related to plumbing.
Many of my friends and my local plumbing supply store customers said that I was 'wasting' my time.
The Internet wasn't yet used or
accepted by most of them and so they told me things like
'Who could possibly want to buy plumbing supplies on the Internet?'
By 2004 our combined PlumbingSupply Group companies were so successful and had grown so much on the Net that
I decided to close our local plumbing supply division completely starting Jan. 1st, 2005
so that we could continue to
focus on and continue to be the best Internet plumbing supplier and I am determined that we will always provide
the best possible customer service on the Internet.
Today it's very wonderful for me to see the results of my dreams and goals.
On April 1st, 2009 our company began operating in the name of PlumbingSupply Group, LLC
as we had grown so much since 1995 that it became necessary for us to become a Limited Liability Company
rather than a sole proprietorship. I'm truly proud to be able to continue to be part of our wonderful Company.
We have so many achievements and I would like to personally thank you, our customers
as well as our awesome team that has been providing such excellent customer service to our
Internet customers for so many years."
Founder:
Many years ago, Vic, after having served in the U.S. Navy Reserve (Vietnam veteran) graduated from Cal State University at Northridge. While searching for employment he stumbled into an excellent paying Plumbing Apprenticeship Program soon after graduating from CSUN. After 4 1/2 years (he was advanced ahead of all of his many peers) of intensive plumbing education he became a Journeyman Plumber. As soon as he qualified for the next step, he became a Plumbing Contractor. Then he became a College Plumbing Instructor at Butte College (Northern California) and finally a Plumbing Distributor.
Vic has had a lot of experience in the plumbing, kitchen and bath distribution business. He has written numerous articles regarding the Internet for such well recognized (in the plumbing distribution industry) magazines as the Supply House Times. He has been quoted in plumbing trade magazines such as Contractor Magazine, as well as many newspapers such as in the San Jose Mercury News, with a readership of nearly one million regarding e-commerce. Vic was one of the first plumbing suppliers on the Internet. He has been referred to in university college classes such as in Michigan State University's Internet Communications courses. He has also given speeches about Internet e-commerce to the Lions organizations as well as the Chamber of Commerce and he has been a paid Internet consultant for many companies.
Vic states that plumbing has contributed much to societies and his goal is to not only be able to provide quality plumbing products at very low prices, provide superior service, but to also educate people as to how important plumbing is to society. Vic believes in "giving back" to society, and therefor each year we give a considerable amount of moneys to charities. Vic has many personal favorite quotes that he hopes that you will read. They are located on virtually every one of our over 2,900 pages as well as on his most favorite quotable quotes page. You can see Vic on a few of his favorite vacations and you can see some of his personal pictures (they do take time to load due to large number of bytes). Also, to see his personal pond at his house just click here. Koi, ponds, kayaking (in mellow places), trailer "camping", Vic's BBQ, traveling to warm (and quiet) places, and sailing are some of his passions.
These days Vic has stepped back from many of his duties, but he will sometimes audit some transactions/sales to be sure that we are always providing you with the excellent service that we are known for and that he demands. He is transitioning out of a day-to-day role at our company that he founded to spend more time on his health (yoga, aerobics, meditation, stress management), as well as cooking, camping, traveling, practicing yoga, gardening and sailing.

"Dreams without FOCUS and EXECUTION are just when you really think about it - they are just DREAMS.
You on the other hand have to take that DREAM, that LOVE OF YOUR LIFE, and bring FOCUS and EXECUTION to getting it done, to making it a reality.
You may still not be able to by the way, but you will have lived a life worth living, and in the end that's all your family, and YOU can ask you."
