At PlumbingSupply.com®, we believe in helping the needy. In 1971, before founding our company, Vic earned a degree in Sociology from California State University at Northridge. He states that we humans are happiest when we help others, and our company has chosen to nurture a spirit of giving in our daily business transactions as well as in the overall culture of our workplace and our collective identity as PlumbingSupply.com®.
We believe in education of those less fortunate and giving those less fortunate assistance towards their own future and destiny - in the principle of teaching people to fish, giving them a boat, teaching them how to farm and grow crops and also in giving the poor land, rather than just giving "handouts" each and every time that the poor ask.
As our founder says, "Of course, the starving must be fed, but also teach them how to help themselves." We strongly believe that is a truly valuable gift that encompasses more than a "handout" ever could.
Because Vic has made much of his income from plumbing related products, he desires to give back primarily to charitable organizations which are plumbing related. As Vic has said, "What the world's poorest one billion need more than doctors, good roads, the Internet and even electricity, is quality drinking water and safe sewage disposal. Society is nothing without good plumbing."
