Little Giant 9SN Series Sewage Ejector Pumps
These Little Giant 9SN Series Sewage Pumps have permanent split capacitor motors that use less electricity than standard motors. A lower electrical current draw means the motor will run cooler. For added protection the motor housing is filled with a dielectric oil to quickly dissipate any heat and at the same time provides lifetime lubrication to the bearings.
Although these pumps use less electricity than others, it pushes wastewater and solid waste material up to 2" diameter up through the volute and out the 2" discharge at a tremendous rate of 110 gpm at 5' of head pressure. A cast iron external housing with a protective epoxy coating and stainless steel screws, bolts, handle and seal assembly assist in providing excellent rust and corrosion resistance.
The automatic model #9SN-CIA-RF and the manual model #9SN-CIM are designed for continuous use and have the same pump specifications:
HP=4/10, watts=920, flow rate=6600 gph @ 5' head pressure and a maximum vertical lift or shut-off at 20' (pump can be running but will not pump higher). View the performance curve chart for the Little Giant #9SN-CIM and #9SN-CIA-RF pumps. These pumps are 115 volt cCSAus listed and weigh 36 lbs. The model #9SN-CIA-RF uses a mechanical piggyback float switch for automatic operation. The float switch will turn the pump on when the liquid level is between 9" and 14" and turn the pump off when the liquid level is between 2" and 6".
The 9SN-CIM manual pumps can be used for automatic operation when used with a piggyback float switch or liquid level control panel. We offer float switches and liquid level control panels with alarms for 115/120 volt pumps here.

Little Giant 10SN-Series Sewage Ejector Pumps
Model 10SN-CIA-RF shown
These 1/2 HP submersible sewage ejector and wastewater pumps handle liquid and solid waste materials up to 2" diameter using a vortex thermoplastic elastomer impeller. Designed for continuous use, these pumps are specifically engineered to handle the tough, demanding tasks of effluent and sewage waste transfer in residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural applications.
The cast iron pump housing and volute have a protective epoxy coating as well as stainless steel screws, bolts, and handle for rust and corrosion resistance. The oil filled motor housing is not only designed for lifetime lubrication, but also rapid heat dissipation to cool the motor. Permanent split capacitor motors use less electricity than normal induction type motors, less electricity means less heat to the motor, allowing them to run cooler and extend the motor life expectancy. All 10SN pumps are thermal overload protected and have mechanical shaft seals (stainless steel spring, nitrile parts, carbon and ceramic faces).
Both manual and automatic models have a flow rate of 7200 gph @ 5' head pressure (which is 120 gallons per minute!) with a maximum vertical lift or shut-off at 25', which means it will not pump or lift effluent (liquid/solid mixture) any higher than 25 feet. Both are 115 volt and cCSAus listed. The performance curve chart shows the optimum working range for the 10SN series pumps.
The 10SN-CIM manual pumps are easily converted for automatic operation when used with a liquid level control panel or piggyback float switch. We offer liquid level control panels with alarms and piggyback float switches for 115/120 volt pumps here.

Little Giant 14S-Series Sewage Ejector Pumps
Model 14S-CIM shown
These powerful 1/2 HP submersible sewage ejector pumps have a flow rate of 6000 gph @ 10' head pressure (which is equivalent to 100 gallons per minute!) and 7800 gph @ 5' head (which is equivalent to 130 gallons per minute @ 5' head). The maximum vertical lift is 25 feet, which means even though the pump is running, effluent (fluid/solid mixture) will not pump beyond a 25 foot vertical pipe length; it will just stay at that height in the pipe. Note: This vertical lift height could be less if there is any friction loss in the pipes due to excessive piping angles.

These pumps handle effluent liquids and up to a 2" spherical solid waste material using a two vane non-clog epoxy coated cast iron impeller. The 14S series pumps are recommended by the manufacturer for use in basins or lift stations and are suitable for pumping sewage, wastewater, effluent, and other non-explosive, non corrosive liquids. The epoxy coated cast iron impeller is dynamically balanced to help keep solids away from the seals for less seal and bearing wear.
The heavy duty cast iron pump housing has a baked-on protective epoxy coating and stainless steel hardware for longer corrosion and rust resistance. The pump motor housing is filled with a high grade dielectric oil for lifetime lubrication of the bearings and seals and to provide cooling by dissipating any motor heat very rapidly. The 1625 RPM ball bearing motor is equipped with an automatic resetting thermal overload protector that provides additional protection to the pump from over heating. For optimum cooling and to extend the motor life, the liquid level being pumped should cover the top of the motor housing. No maintenance of this pump is required!
For automatic operation, these 14S-CIM pumps must be plugged or hardwired into a float switch or liquid level controller. We offer float switches and liquid level controllers for 115/120 volt pumps here. We offer float switches and liquid level controllers for the 208-240 Volt 14S Series pumps here. Little Giant 16S-Series Sewage Ejector Pumps
Model 16S-CIM shown
These Little Giant 16S Series submersible sewage ejector manual pumps handle liquids and 2" diameter solid waste materials with a flow rate of 160 gpm at 10' head and maximum vertical lift (shut-off) of 35 feet. This means the pump is unable to push effluent (fluid/solid mixture) any higher than 35 feet; any pumped fluid in a straight vertical pipe at that height will just stay at that height.
The performance curve chart for the Little Giant 16S-CIM pumps shows the optimum working range.
These 1 HP sewage ejector pumps have a 3" fips discharge and are rated for continuous duty as long as they are completely submerged in temperatures not above 140°F., operated with-in the pump curve ratings, and in proper waste water conditions as specified by Little Giant. The Heavy duty cast iron pump housing has a protective epoxy coating and stainless steel screws and bolts for corrosion and rust resistance. The motor housing contains a high grade dielectric oil, (aquatic safe) to cool the motor and to lubricate the bearings and seals. The capacitor and power cord connections are isolated from the oil filled motor housing for easy field maintenance if ever needed. These single phase models have permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors with automatic thermal overload protection. To achieve the best cooling, and get the optimum motor life from this pump, the level of the liquid being pumped should always cover the top of the motor housing. Two vane, non-clog impellers are epoxy coated cast iron with pump-out vanes to help keep solids away from the shaft and mechanical seal for less seal and bearing wear. The 16S-CIM pumps weigh 88 lbs.
The 16S-CIM are manual pumps and for automatic operation must be wired into a separate control panel or used with a 230 volt float switch. We offer float switches and liquid level controls for 230 volt 16S Series pumps here. These pumps can be installed with ABS, PVC, polyethylene, or galvanized steel pipe. Proper plastic male pipe thread adapters are required to connect plastic pipe to the pump outlet pipe threads (Npt).
