Electric Hydrostatic Test Pumps
These electric hydrostatic test pumps are designed for pressure testing water systems such as water meters, plumbing lines, pressure vessels, solar systems and sprinkler systems, in both residential and commercial buildings. A standard 110/120V outlet is required and the electric motor is UL certified. The unit can be primed with a standard garden hose. Our choice would be "the very best" lightweight garden hose. The output pressure is easily adjusted simply by turning a knob and watching the attached gauge. A built-in bypass allows for automatic water recirculation once the set pressure is reached. The pump includes a gauge to show the pump pressure, but does not include a gauge for the test system pressure. Another gauge (sold separately) for the test system will be needed. When the test pump is turned off, the pump can easily be disconnected from the test system and taken elsewhere or stored away. The hose-to-pump connection features a quick disconnect with built-in check valve, which allows for convenient setup and portability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. "What are these hydrostatic pumps used for?"
A. These hydrostatic test pumps are used for pressure testing water systems such as water meters, plumbing lines, pressure vessels, solar systems and sprinkler systems, in both residential and commercial buildings.
Q. "Is hydrostatic pressure testing better than air testing?"
A. Hydrostatic pressure testing is much safer than air tests. You should never over pressurize your plumbing lines and should always follow the guidelines for pressure testing as conducted and approved by your local Code or administrative authority. Note: Never use pressurized air on PVC/CPVC as it can shatter.
Q. "What does PSI stand for?"
A. PSI = pounds per square inch.
