Faucet Aerator Adapters
There are many situations that call for a faucet spout adapter. Maybe the aerator you want to use isn't available for your spout's thread type, or perhaps you have an unusual thread pattern and can't find an aerator to fit. Whatever your crisis, PlumbingSupply.com® is here to save the day! With a variety of thread options, we hope you'll find exactly what you need!
Choosing the Right Adapter
Determine whether your faucet spout is female or male threaded. Female-threaded spouts have their threads inside the end of the spout; male threads are found on the outside of the spout. If your faucet has female threads, you'll need an adapter with male top threads. If your faucet has male threads, you'll need an adapter with female top threads.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. "Will the adapters with Male NPSM threads screw fit into Female FIPS threads?"
A. Male threads that are NPSM (National Standard Straight Mechanical Pipe Thread) will not screw directly into FIPS (Female Iron Pipe Size) threaded fittings. FIPS threads are tapered and the NPSM are straight threads. Even though they have the same threads per inch and look the same size they will not thread together.
